Pfalzgraf Lotari von Cronenberg, a human Hessen, is the head of a minor house of nobility in Hesse.
Lotari is an elder distinguished Hessen noble who takes tremendous pride in all that he does, professionally articulate and impeccably well-dressed on all occasions.
Lotari’s subversive claim to fame beyond his noble background is as the guildmaster of the Black Daggers, Augstat’s most nefarious thieves’ guild which he has operated for at least thirty-years, and some believe even longer. The Black Daggers are known primarily for smuggling and heists, with numerous safe houses throughout the city and the surrounding region. Lotari’s astute eye for detail 
and slippery political adeptness has kept himself and the Black Daggers seemingly one step ahead of the authorities and any ugly entanglements with the Hecks.
Lotari lives by himself in an affluent Augstat district in his home, Cronenberg Herrenhaus where he is attended by his manservant, Tannis, who has served the Pfalzgraf well for many years.
