Tribunus Teper Kasdoni is an ambitious career officer with no ladder left to climb in the Imperial Army amidst forty years of peace, forcing him to hide an ever-present frustration beneath his professional exterior.
Kasdoni was born in Year 8 into a working-class family—his father was an ink maker from the island-continent of Perrin. Teper joined the Imperial Legion in an attempt to raise his station in life. While he began as a regular foot soldier—a pedes—his skill and dedication allowed him to rise to the rank of tribunus, a rank almost exclusively reserved for those of noble birth or those well-connected politically. Kasdoni’s achievement is already incredible, but he has his eye on a much bigger prize: command of his own legion as a legatus.
Kasdoni is a man made for war, so the peace of the last forty years has severely tempered his ambition to test his mettle in battle. Despite this frustration, however, he remains a vigilant, professional soldier, a shining example of an Imperial officer.
