Humusi is a powerful force in Akkadia's military. She doesn’t pretend to be strong—she is strong, both physically and psychologically. Fiercely loyal to her patesi, her people, and the kingdom of Akkadia, she gives the best of herself to all her endeavors. As the ugala-martu of the elite Qurubuti Guard, Humusi is the highest-ranking officer in Akkadia’s competitive female-dominated military.
Humusi is of noble Akkadian blood, but that’s not how she became commander of Iltani’s personal guard. Noble birth gave her access to good training and diet from a young age, but competition for top military positions is fierce and is settled through martial contest. Humusi became ugala-martu by defeating all challengers.
Akkadia is one of the larger continents of Chaldea. It is an island-continent, like Perrin or Ata-Aimilleuse, and can only be reached from other lands by navigating the Great Sea. Akkadia is also the name of the empire that rules this continent and the people who are citizens of this empire are known as Akkadians. The Akkadian empire is composed of several kingdoms, the most prominent of which is Babil, which dominates the central, wealthiest region of Akkadia. The dominant ethnic group of Akkadia is the Anum people.
