Sureniel

Sureniel one of “the elders”, the original dragons who fought in the Claw Hammer War. He is at least a thousand years old and is sometimes called the Diamond Dragon due to the proliferation of diamonds in his anatomy, which he somehow magically creates.

Appearance. According to dwarven accounts from the time, Sureniel is over 500-ft long, has a short thick snout and diamond orbs for eyes. His mouth is filled with hundreds of teeth the sizes of jotun longswords, each with diamond tips and serrated edges. Additionally, diamond-serrated horns protrude all along the length of his body. His wings are a clear crystalline membrane that appears like diamond speckled glass.

History. Sureniel was one of the most active and warlike dragons during the Claw Hammer War. He commanded an army of orc mercenaries brought from another world, and he led the orcs to victory over the dwarves in their capital, Tar-Toor, deep in the heart of the Divinity Mountains. The culmination of the Claw Hammer War was the legendary battle between Sureniel and the dragon Mirithian in the heart of Tar-Toor.

Politics. There is no greater evidence of Kordaava’s might than the fact that Sureniel bowed before him and swore allegiance to the Kordavan Empire. Many fear that if Kordaava fails to keep Sureniel in check, Sureniel’s orc army will spill forth from the Divinity Mountains and attack all that lies before them.
