Iltani, Demigoddess of battle and fertility, Priestess of Ishtar, Patesi of Akkadia, Alik Pani of Akkadia’s Harranim, Consort of Lord Marcosta Kordaava
The Anum island kingdom of Akkadia exerts its executive authority through a matriarchal system of governance. Civil power, political leadership, moral authority, social privilege, and property ownership belong solely to women. This matriarchal theocracy is ruled by a priestess of Ishtar, Patesi Iltani, a Anum demi-goddess of fertility and battle who is the daughter of Ishtar and consort of Lord Marcosta Kordaava, emperor of Chaldea.
Little is known of Iltani prior to her coming to Chaldea, as part of a political arrangement between the Ma’at god Set and her mother, the Anum goddess Ishtar to wed Marcosta Kordaava. She is said to be the eldest daughter of Ishtar and primal based Anum by birth, holding the rank of demi-goddess. Whether that is a self-proclaimed rank or actual, is anyone’s guess.
She arrived violently on Chaldean shores in Year 24 like the Bull of Heaven, overthrowing Akkadia’s ruling family and killing Patesi Ahatsuna in a violent bloody coup that resulted in the death of the entire royal family. Forced to live on Chaldea, it would seem, even married to the emperor of the world, she intended to do it on her own terms.
