Autumn appears in the heavens as a hard-working Targonian man with a sickle harvesting the summer bounty.
Autumn signals the time of harvest. Autumn asks if our efforts have yielded fruit. Are you proud of what you’ve accomplished this year?
Autumn is companions with Winter, Spring, and Summer, for each recognizes the importance of all four seasons to create balance in life. Phoenix can sometimes be found during the more violent storms of Autumn.
Autumn will aid mortal companions who carry his fate card in any action that involves reaping the results of planning, nurturing, and hard work. Autumn is only interested in finishing tasks that took real effort to bring to fruition. He will not help with things which have been created in haste or without careful planning.
Autumn is particularly inclined to support these sorts of actions during Autumn Week, or anytime for those born in this week.
When Autumn is Called
If Autumn answers a calling---when his card is drawn from a fate deck during the ritual for summoning aid from anumians---the seeker and the seer will experience minor supernatural manifestations of Autumn, like falling leaves of deciduous trees floating in the air, the itchiness of wheat chaff, the sound of a falling chestnut.
In the artwork of the Autumn fate card the seer might be drawn to the hard effort of the man wielding a sickle in the hot sun, the squirrel running with a nut in its mouth, the skeletal scarecrow, or the child playing in the pile of leaves. Meanwhile, the cat sees all.
Autumn will typically ask seekers to help a farming community that has experienced an unjust setback, like dealing with bandits or oppressive lords. If the seeker has some grand task that was put aside, Autumn might demand the task be completed.
