Phoenix

Phoenix appears in the heavens as a magnificent fire bird whose vast wings stretch like an aurora behind it. A permanent imprint of the Phoenix constellation may be burned into the eyes of any who dare gaze directly upon it's fiery beauty.

Phoenix reminds us of the cleansing qualities of fire and invites us to reduce our old life to ashes, that we may start anew. The arrival of Phoenix is often foreshadowed by storms; if not, then storms are sure to follow.

Phoenix sometimes follows Beast to see if those destroyed in its wake should be reborn. Phoenix shares a kinship with Faithful, for embracing or abandoning faith is often a rebirth of the soul. Phoenix can sometimes be seen in the midst of the more violent storms of Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter.

Phoenix will aid mortal companions who carry her fate card in any action that involves a truly dramatic change in one’s life. Phoenix is particularly inclined to support these sorts of actions during Phoenix Week, or anytime for those born in this week.

When Phoenix is Called

If Phoenix answers a calling---when her card is drawn from a fate deck during the ritual for summoning aid from anumians---the seeker and the seer will experience minor supernatural manifestations of Phoenix, like small electrical storms, the feel of shaking ground, or the distinct scent of ozone.

Phoenix will typically ask seekers to examine their life and consider a radical change. If the seeker is in an especially bad situation, Phoenix might go so far as to encourage suicide, with a promise of a better life in the hereafter.
