Brieg-goor

B R I E G  -  G O O R

Brieg-Goor is one of the five great fortresses of Niesse ruled by Sureniel.

Brieg is a militarized strip mine confiscated from the dwarves during the Claw Hammer War

Fortress Fact: Brieg is the largest open air mine in the world.

Auger, (the original dwarven name), began as a massive open-air mining facility 2,500-years ago—forming an epic pit that spiraled deep into the Divinity Mountains. To protect the vast rich mineral deposits, the Auger Clan of the time, built thick fortifications around the mining complex, 1,600-meters in diameter and over 4,828-meters in circumference.

The most removed of the five Niesse fortresses, Brieg is cradled between rock formations and rugged cliffs in a relatively undisturbed verdant mountain valley surrounded by ancient evergreen forests and deep emerald lakes.

The five great fortresses of Niesse were built by the dwarves pre-Claw Hammer War, well over a thousand years ago, before the dwarves were decimated and driven out of their homeland. In the Sunset of that terrible conflict, the orcs moved into Niesse and took the fortresses for their own use and transformed them into bastions of orc depravity.
