Play

Also known as “Seven Childkins,” Play appears in the sky as seven children holding hands in a circle. The children represent a variety of species, ethnicities, and genders.

Play invites us to spend time having fun, urging us to cast aside adult concerns and forget life’s worries. Play can be temperamental and cruel, however, if ignored or deprived of enjoyment.

Play is fearful of many anumians, like Death, Devil, Hate, or Monster to name a few, and will not show itself of one of them is visible. Play loves to listen to stories read by Fairy Goodmother, play with Fey, or pester Winter for yule-time presents!

Play will aid mortal companions who carry its fate card in any action that involves play, like hosting a party for children, winning at children’s games, or convincing someone to join in something fun (and appropriate for children). Play will also assist in any actions intended to punish those who have mistreated children. Note that Play will judge these actions as a child would. Play is particularly inclined to support these sorts of actions during Play Week, or anytime for those born in this week.

When Play is Called

If Play answers a calling---when Play is drawn from a fate deck during the ritual for summoning aid from anumians---the seeker and the seer will experience minor supernatural manifestations of Play, like the sound of children laughing, the taste of candy, or the sudden urge to giggle.

Play might ask seekers to entertain children at a party, to dress up as a child and play with children, or perhaps help a group of children perform some mischief.
