Fat Merchant is friends with Artisan and Thief, both excellent suppliers, King and Queen, excellent customers, and Grave Robber, who can be either or both.
Fat Merchant will aid mortal companions who carry his fate card in any action that involves bartering, business negotiation, or assessing value. He is particularly inclined to support these actions during Fat Merchant Week, or anytime for those born in this week.
When Fat Merchant is Called
If Fat Merchant answers a calling---when his card is drawn from a fate deck during the ritual for summoning aid from anumians---the seeker and the seer will experience minor supernatural manifestations of Fat Merchant, like the sound of coins being jostled in a purse, the smell of livestock at auction, or a feeling of being robbed.
Fat Merchant will typically ask seekers to start a business, fund a venture, or retrieve some valuable long-forgotten treasure.
