Executioner

Executioner appears in the heavens as a heading axe.

Executioner invites us to slay those who will not adhere to the rule of law. Executioner reminds us that an unjust society will crumble, and that justice is built on accountability.

Executioner does not engage in the nightly drama that obsesses the other anumians. He stands grim, aloof, with no sentimental attachments, lest he be called upon. He does not judge the activities of others, that is not his place. He is on hand to carry out lawful judgement, and sometimes hovers near King in case his services are required.

Executioner will aid mortal companions who carry its fate card in any action that involves seeing that a judgment is carried out. Executioner only recognizes judgment from a legally-recognized authority. Executioner is particularly inclined to support these actions during Executioner Week, or anytime for those born in this week.

When Executioner is Called

If Executioner answers a calling---when his card is drawn from a Fate Deck during the ritual for summoning aid from anumians---the seeker and the seer will experience minor supernatural manifestations of Executioner, such as feeling a tight hangman’s noose around their neck, hearing the sound of the condemned begging for pity, or seeing their shadow-self sitting in judgment over them.

Executioner will typically ask seekers to bring to justice someone who has been found guilty via a legal process, for the very existence of such people is a crack in the foundation of society.
