Ba’al devil sharks originate from the third Circle of Hell and are gluttonous minions of Beelzebub. These devilish predators are primarily solitary hunters, but on rare occasions come together to hunt in massive packs numbering in the many hundreds. Devil sharks are territorial predators by nature who violently and tenaciously protect their domain. Any creature, alive, dead, or other, deemed hostile or a threat is immediately and mercilessly attacked.
In hell, prey tends to be lost souls and the unclaimed wretched godless which are convenient and plentiful. However, they are not picky what they eat and will feed upon flesh in any form, especially delighting in the torment of sentient creatures who radiate fear and terror. Devil sharks do not cooperate with one another or share prey—first come first devour.
Devil sharks have an insatiable desire to eat and function as chronic harvesting machines with bottomless gullets where flesh and souls congeal and are digested in perpetual suffering torment. Even in hell they are iconic hunters, who manifest a mindless ambition, a tight wound ball of muscle of bad intentions driven by a singular predatory instinct to eat.
Indigenous to all the nine circles of hell, devil sharks have no natural method of leaving those accursed realms. However, devils and demon kind in general are highly susceptible to being summoned and controlled by off-world demonologists, wizards, and other nefarious entities who use them for their own aims. And in this, devil sharks make for excellent watch dogs and private security.

Keen Smell. Devil shark has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Amphibious. Devil shark can breathe air and water.
Surprise Attack. Devil shark enters combat with a surprise attack. The DM determines the devil sharks’ position in initiative. This allows the devil shark to attack immediately after entering combat.
Silent Running. When not in combat, devil shark's movement (swim and fly) makes no sound and is utterly silent and cannot be heard or detected by any natural or magical means. Devil shark can hear and remains open and susceptible to extraneous sounds.
Planar environment adaptation. Devil shark has advantage on saving throws against full spectrum of metaphysical planar environments, from the harsh bitter cold of Niflheim’s misty world of the dead to Hell’s hot fury. They can swim and fly through any liquid or gaseous environment or even move through vacuum of space.
Blood Frenzy. Devil shark has advantage on melee attack rolls against any creature that doesn’t have all its hit points.
Feeding Frenzy. Once Devil shark tastes blood it will not stop attacking. It's bite attacks against grappled targets are automatic critical hits (treat as a natural 20). Critical misses still miss.
Devilish Delights. Souls of devoured creatures remain conscious and acutely aware of the hell they exist in: eternal amen of terror and suffering, eaten alive over and over… forever more.
Multiattack. Devil shark makes two bite attacks, and then uses devour if possible.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (3d10 + 7) piercing damage. Medium or smaller target is grappled (a grappled creature can use its action to escape. To do so, it must succeed on a DC 13 Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics)). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the devil shark can't bite another target.
Devour. Melee Weapon Attack: Devil shark makes one bite attack against a dead target it is currently grappling. If the attack hits, the target is devoured, (1d4 limbs dismembered and swallowed whole).
